Topcon’s DynaRoad Software the Ultimate Site Management Tool

Part of Topcon’s suite of software support systems, DynaRoad encompasses comprehensive end-to-end production management software, specifically designed for heavy earth moving and highway infrastructure sites.

Controlling all aspects of scheduling, production and machine management, DynaRoad provides quick and accurate planning and analysis, mitigating the need for separate management systems for different aspects of the work site.

Using DynaRoad, activities are built up based on the amount of work, resources and their production rates. This gives construction managers the ability to assess in advance whether work schedules are realistic and being completed on time. All views are linked and updated in real-time, allowing for full control of required machine production rates and, as a result, a detailed critical path of activities.

"DynaRoad gives you multiple views of project data, including a time-location view, which provides for a detailed overview of the project. This means scheduling and planning production orders, crew movement and haul distances can all be analysed in a single view."

While DynaRoad software gives civil construction entities a detailed picture of what’s happening at any given moment across the site, by taking work progress data and comparing actual production milestones with the original schedule, this intelligent software can even build production forecasts which have the ability to warn of upcoming supply or resource problems weeks before they might occur.

"You can even take the DynaRoad system a step further and integrate it with Topcon’s Sitelink 3D system," continues Mike.

"Sitelink 3D for trucks and scrapers reports hauled quantities, material types and load and dump locations, which can all be updated in real-time and integrated with DynaRoad. This gives operators a clear picture of hauled quantity progress and the amount of material still needing to be moved."

Using Sitelink3D as an overlay within the DynaRoad system allows a quick and accurate comparison between data collected from the site and the established haul plan and schedule.
