Topcon HT-30 Truck Haul Takes Away The Guesswork

March 2014 – With the recent launch of the Sitelink3D system, Topcon delivered 3D Machine Control customers unrivaled site management, data control and systems support technology.

Now the comprehensive onsite support Sitelink3D provides operators and managers has been extended further, with Topcon’s new HT-30 haul truck module.

Working seamlessly within the Sitelink3D system, the HT-30 module features a small, portable GPS/GPRS-enabled control box that sits inside the truck cab. As the truck is loaded, data about the load, such as material type, driver, and quantity is input.

The load is then integrated into Sitelink3D and can be tracked for scheduling, rerouted if needed elsewhere, and recorded once delivery is made.

The system accurately and securely records load information and locations utilising ‘cloud’ storage. Thanks to a built-in GPS receiver, there’s no requirement for a base station onsite. The small, ruggedised display unit is easy to mount inside a truck cab and its colour touchscreen is quick and intuitive to use.

Working with Topcon’s Sitelink3D system, the HT-30 module allows for managing and tracking the whereabouts and payload of site material. Sitelink3D is a complete site communication system providing data control, machine tracking and a comprehensive reporting system all in one.
